The collection was inspired by Spanish culture with a Nicolas Ghesquière touch

Louis Vuitton presented its Cruise 2025 collection this Thursday (23rd) in Barcelona, Spain. The runway took place in the Hypostyle Room at the iconic Park Güell, an architectural utopia created by Antoni Gaudí and built between 1900 and 1914.

Inspired by Spain’s flourishing culture, Louis Vuitton’s Resort 2025 collection is all about tradition, according to Nicolas Ghesquière, the maison’s creative director.

“As if in homage to such opulent purity, the Maison’s rigorous spirit embraces the country’s passionate character. The fervor of its colors, its loyalty to tradition elevated into artistic expression, dark and light that never appear contradictory,” say the brand notes.

Tailored looks opened the show, all completed with gaucho hats and reflective racing sunglasses. Neutral tones and polka dots shared space with vibrant red and purple, alongside leather, fur, silk, lace, tulle, and wool. Prints inspired by Gaudí’s work were also featured.

In Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection, we also saw sharp shapes in tailored suits, referencing the 80s, with broad shoulders and upside-down triangles. The Western aesthetic was present through holographic and glossy riding boots, faux fur, and fringes, reaffirming the trends seen in the menswear collection for fall/winter 2024.

Trends such as cutouts, transparency, bubble skirts, and dresses were also spotted on the runway under a roofed hall whose mosaic ceilings are a Gaudí signature.
