Alessandro Michele fuses vintage and modern elegance in Valentino’s Summer 2025 collection, capturing beauty in fragility.

Presenting an unmistakable style, director Alessandro Michele ensured that Valentino embodied opulence at Paris Fashion Week. The event, held from September 23 to October 1, showcased creative fashion houses, with the elegance of the models capturing attention.

With the ‘Summer 2025’ project, the Italian brand developed 85 looks, ranging from urban styles like jeans to gala ensembles. Initially, Michele’s project aimed to bring a more vintage perspective. In other words, Valentino drew on past references but based the designs on Gucci’s 2015-2022 era.

First and foremost, it’s important to note that the Italian brand stood out by recalling the Bianca collection, developed in 1968. Aiming to offer both light and dark tones, Valentino successfully blended ivory and red hues.

Valentino Show Reflects on Fragility
In addition to the striking colors in the garments throughout the Valentino show, the designer emphasized that the goal was to help the target audience understand that people today experience constant fragility and vulnerability. Furthermore, he pointed out that beauty serves as a remedy for anguish.

In one of the looks, Valentino combined elegance and casualness: a pair of jeans, reminiscent of a more urban design, paired with a navy blue blazer and a burgundy bow, highlighting an oversized officecore aesthetic.

With warm colors, Michele also delivered elegance with a red dress, intricately designed with lace and transparent sleeves. Undoubtedly, it was the dress that left everyone in awe. Valentino indeed opted for a consistent theme throughout the collection, featuring bows, lace, prints, fluid volumes, and accessories such as stunning bags.
