São Paulo, April 8, 2025 – The brand Normando, led by creatives Marco Normando and Emídio Contente, unveiled its new collection this Tuesday at São Paulo Fashion Week N59. Entitled “Chove nos Campos de Cachoeira” (“It Rains in the Fields of Cachoeira”), the collection draws inspiration from the novel of the same name by Pará-born author Dalcídio Jurandir, reaffirming the brand’s commitment to sustainable fashion and the celebration of northern Brazilian culture.

The show, held at Shopping JK Iguatemi, featured actress Dira Paes and model Caroline Ribeiro as highlights of the presentation, strengthening the brand’s connection to its Amazonian roots. Divided into three distinct acts, the collection mirrors the narrative structure of the novel, conveying themes of resilience, hope, and renewal through its designs.
Normando maintained its focus on low-impact, eco-friendly materials. Among the fabrics used were Amazonian latex, pima cotton, Lenzing and Ecovero fibers, as well as mapped viscose and buriti fiber, all sourced sustainably. The collection emphasizes the brand’s commitment to material traceability and the preservation of Brazilian biodiversity.

In its creations, Normando combined modern tailoring with latex slip dresses, t-shirts paired with low-rise pants, and elements reflecting the diversity and natural wealth of northern Brazil. The color palette shifted between deep greens, earthy tones, and visual references to forest fires, addressing environmental issues in a striking way. With its second consecutive appearance at SPFW, Normando strengthens its reputation as one of the most relevant emerging brands on the national scene, merging fashion, culture, and environmental responsibility in a presentation marked by refined aesthetics and a powerful message.
