The arrival of Paris Fashion Week can be bittersweet because it also marks the beginning of the fashion month’s end. While it will be months before the next set of shows, the excitement for the shows, and presentations, are always welcomed and a happy way to close out the season. The Fall/Winter 2023 season has been ripe with amazing runway beauty looks that are bound to be everywhere shortly because, while they’re the pinnacle of fashion, they’re all extremely wearable.

The most popular beauty trends from the PFW F/W ’23 runways are no exception. Here are some of our PFW Fall/Winter 2023 runway looks:

Slicked back hair

The tried-and-true runway look has yet to fade from the mainstream, as designers chose the classic slicked-back hairdo for their models to walk the runway with.
The look perfectly complements the clothes, sophisticated and chic, while not overpowering the garments themselves. At Balenciaga, the mood was solemn as Demna announced a return to craftsmanship. The hair was appropriately understated, with no height or volume, and either slicked back or lacquered and sleek. On the other hand, Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen harkened back to the 1990s with anatomical precision and a dark elegance. Hair was either slicked into intricate waves at the front or tied back and glossy to complement this.

Cat eyes

Yes, messy grungy, dark kohl-rimmed eyes will always have a moment, but this Paris fashion week, cat eye looks were a must-have. This season, the classic look is reimagined with precise, exaggerated wings, as seen at Dries Van Noten, Valentino, and Balenciaga.

Pop of color

After Fashion week, we are certain that bold eye shadow and lashes will be the new black this season. Long, electrifying crimson lashes at Undercover gave the essential dopamine rush, yet they had a sinister look. Whereas Chanel opted for a striking pewter smoky eye and doe-eyelashes.

Bold lips

This season, runways featured dramatic styles and strong lips once more.
The strong lip continued to complement a daring dress, whether in a classic shade like red or something a little more daring like reddish brown, as seen on Saint Laurent. Schiaparelli gave the trend an edgy spin by sending models down the catwalk with a dramatic deep blood-red ombre lip.

Hair ornaments

How can you easily accessorize your go-to hairstyles for fall? Just adding a striking hairpiece will do. Givenchy’s floral jewelry served as barrettes and earrings, keeping the models’ hair tucked behind their ears. Sam McKnight, a hairstylist, turned the iconic camellia bloom of the fashion house into a must-have item for Chanel’s runway presentation. Finally, Balmain added a jeweled flower clip to several models’ middle sections.

Natural skin

Natural skin has been a mainstay in the Fall/Winter 2023 show, as seen on Paris fashion week. During the show, Loewe opted for some au natural style, pairing unadorned faces with dresses, jackets, flowing skirts, and bottoms.
At its presentation, Chloe also went for the youthful appearance, enhancing the collection’s refinement and playfulness, emphasizing healthy skin and dew around the eyes and lips.

Eye decals

The appeal of eye decals in vibrant colors is that they can be applied quickly and properly to create a striking, attention-grabbing image.
At Louis Vuitton, makeup artist Pat McGrath applied reflective squares along the models’ lower lash lines for a geometric pattern. At Giambattista Valli, a kaleidoscope of foils was added to the models’ eyelids to create a mosaic-like appearance
