The six-episode series tells the story of one of fashion’s most iconic designers
Karl Lagerfeld is one of the most famous names in the fashion world. The German designer who died in 2019 worked as the creative director at Chanel, Fendi, and his namesake label. This Friday (7), ‘Becoming Karl Lagerfeld’ premiered on Disney+ worldwide.
The six-episode series tells the story of one of fashion’s most iconic designers. The German actor Daniel Brühl plays Karl on the show produced by Gaumont, alongside Théodore Pellerin, Arnaud Valois, Alex Lutz, and Agnès Jaoui. ‘Becoming Karl Lagerfeld’ was shot in France, Monaco and Italy.
For nearly 60 years, Karl infused fashion with modernity and boldness. It is impossible not to remember all the iconic Chanel runways he created: ski resort, waterfall, airport, beach, rocket—all in the middle of the Grand Palais.
