Collections Were Inspired by Ballet, Makeup, and Fun

The second day of Paris Haute Couture showcased the pastel color dress of Chanel, Alexis Mabille, Stéphane Rolland, Julien Fournié, RVDK Ronald van der Kemp, and Giorgio Armani Privé on the runways. The spring/summer 2024 collections were presented throughout the French capital.

Chanel introduced a ballet-inspired collection titled ‘The Button’. The maison’s spring/summer 2024 collection features pastel tones and black and white, appearing in gowns, bows, flowers, long dresses, and jumpsuits.

White pantyhose were seen in every look. The ballet universe, full of femininity, was represented through tulle, lace, and pleats, explored with contemporary adaptations.

Alexis Mabille has also chosen pastel color dress for the Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Red, black, white, brown, and beige also made appearances. Titled ‘Mirror, Mirror’, this makeup-inspired collection perfectly mixes lace, gowns, officewear, well-structured bows, and flowers that graced the runway this morning.

Giorgio Armani Privé’s latest Spring/Summer 2024 collection, titled ‘Haute Couture en Jeu,’ translates to ‘putting couture into play,’ or ‘Couture is having fun,’ as explained by the designer himself. Armani stated it was time to take risks, and that’s precisely what he did this season.

The collection showcased a variety of silhouettes, ranging from slim to full-bodied, featuring many shiny surfaces, sparkly decorations, and rhinestone embroideries. Soft, watery shades such as peach, green, blue, pink, and lilac appeared in tulle and silk chiffon, alongside darker hues of blue and black.
