With more mature and versatile designs, Rogers presents ‘Collection 15: Exhale’

The fashion world is buzzing with anticipation for CJR’s comeback, and all eyes are on what he’ll bring to the table for Fall 2025. After a five-year hiatus from the official runway calendar and nearly two years since his last show, the industry is eager for his return. His latest collection, “Exhale,” serves as both a personal and artistic statement. “It’s a testament to being increasingly intentional about the work we’re doing and what we’re saying,” Rogers wrote in his show notes, and it’s clear that this season is about far more than just fashion—it’s about reclaiming the narrative.

“In a time when identity and personhood are globally challenged, the pursuit of one’s own happiness and autonomy can feel like a daunting but essential endeavor,” he shared, encapsulating the emotional depth of his work. On the runway, the pieces that emerged were not only impeccably crafted, but they also embodied the kind of sophisticated maturity that’s made Rogers one of America’s most promising and enduring talents.

Known for his mastery of color, CJR once again proved his unrivaled ability to juxtapose hues that defy convention. Reds, oranges, greens, yellows, browns, and blues—tones that seem improbable on paper—came together on the runway in a harmonious, almost magical display, proving that the designer has an innate sense of balance that elevates even the most complex combinations into art.

The collection offered a seamless blend of Rogers’ glamorous eveningwear, while also pushing into new territory. Collection 015 shows an evolution toward more everyday pieces, integrating adjustable elements like buttons and ties that allow each garment to adapt to the wearer’s body. Peplums also made a return, joined by elegant pleating and captivating bustiers that create a perfect tension between structure and fluidity. The mix of cotton, knits, and compelling fabrics gave birth to a range of silhouettes—modern corsetry, sharp pantsuits, and bold, exuberant dresses that speak to both power and freedom.
