Dior Presents Cruise 2025 in Scotland

The maison paid tribute to the destination through the collection

The gardens of Drummond Castle in Scotland were the place Dior chose to present the Cruise 2025 collection. Models walked the runway this Monday (3rd) in Perthshire. “For Maria Grazia Chiuri, the presentation of the cruise collection is an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Christian Dior around the world. […] In 1955, Monsieur Dior presented his work in Perthshire, Scotland, in the ballroom of the Gleneagles Hotel,” say the brand notes.

Dior isn’t just celebrating the rich harvesting tradition from the 16th century but also inviting its international audience to experience this magical atmosphere. The show was opened by a model playing bagpipes in a red voluminous dress.

When talking about fashion and Scotland, we are talking about knits, plaids, and tartan. In red, purple, yellow, and blue, plaids were presented among neutral tones, fur, lace, velvet, floral and crystal embroideries, puffed wide sleeves, transparency, leather boots, and jackets.

The unicorn and the thistle, iconic symbols of Scotland, bring a fresh twist to the classic Millefleurs motif. These elements are transformed into intricate heraldic embroidery, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of this unique technique.

The map of Scotland and photographs of the spring/summer 1995 collection presentation were also seen in the gardens of Drummond Castle through prints on the clothes.
