Versatility is always at the top of our list when considering all the benefits of using an air fryer. It can be used to prepare quick starters, dinnertime main dishes, veggie sides, and even chocolate chip cookies for dessert. And while not all foods prepared in an air fryer are healthy, this innovative countertop equipment may prepare many of your favorites using less fat and oil. The number of things you can prepare with this gadget will surprise you, these quick and easy air fryer recipes are a fantastic place to start.

Crispy chicken wings

Cooking up a batch of wings without deep frying is the most pleasurable thing you can do. The fan and heating system of the air fryer produces a flurry of incredibly hot air that swirls down and around the wings, crisping the skin to golden brown perfection (without the extra calories of frying oil).

Things you need

  • 2 pounds of chicken wings with the tips cut off and the joint split
  • Salt
  • Unsalted butter, 4 tablespoons
  • Frank’s RedHot, or half a cup, of hot sauce
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing

Directions

  • Dry off the chicken wings with paper towels and liberally salt them.
  • The wings should be lined up along the sides of the basket of a 3.5-quart air fryer, if necessary, to fit the wings without them touching.
  • After cooking the wings for 12 minutes at 360 degrees Fahrenheit, flip them over with tongs and continue cooking for another 12 minutes.
  • The wings should cook for 6 minutes after being turned over, with the heat increasing to 390 degrees F.
  • In the meantime, microwave the butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about a minute or until melted.
  • Add the hot sauce
  • Serve the wings with the dressing on the side after tossing them in the butter mixture in a big bowl.

Stuffed mushrooms

An excellent appetizer for events and gatherings is stuffed mushrooms with garlic, cheese, and, breadcrumbs. The best part is that an oven, pots, and pans are not required!

Things you need

  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup of grated Pecorino Romano
  • Mozzarella shredded two teaspoons.
  • Finely cut parsley, 1 tablespoon
  • Freshly cut mint, 1 teaspoon
  • 1 minced clove of garlic
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 30 white button mushrooms with stems weighing around 1 1/2 pounds

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Pecorino-Romano, mozzarella, parsley, mint, garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the mushrooms with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and put on a small baking sheet or plate with the cavities facing up. Fill the cavities of the mushrooms with the breadcrumb mixture and gently press down to secure.
  • Half the mushrooms should be placed in a single layer in the basket of a 3.5-quart air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F and cook for 10 minutes, or until the filling is boiling and golden.
  • Repeat the step with the rest of the mushrooms.

Ooey gooey air fryer chocolate chip cookies

Your air fryer can prepare more than just fries. These ooey gooey cake-like, miniature chocolate chip cookies are small but full of flavor. Prepare the dough, shape it into balls, and freeze it for quick after-dinner treats. Thaw and air fry a couple as needed.

Things you need

  • All-purpose flour, 1 1/4 cups (see the Cook’s Note).
  • Baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1/four teaspoon of fine salt
  • 1/4 cup of sugar, granulated
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • Unsalted butter, 4 tablespoons, at room temperature
  • One big egg
  • Pure vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips, half a cup

Directions

  • The air fryer should be set to 325 F. Just enough parchment should be cut out to cover the bottom of the air fryer insert.
  • Stir the flour, baking soda, and salt in a larger bowl.
  • In another bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and the mixer on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes or until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Use a rubber spatula to scrape the bowl clean.
  • Add the egg and vanilla afterward. Just blend the flour mixture after lowering the mixer’s speed to low. Use a wooden spoon to stir in the chocolate chunks.
  • Scoop out a few tablespoons of dough and form it into balls. Arrange them at least 1 inch apart on the parchment-lined insert in batches (approximately 6 at a time)
  •  Air-fry for 6 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow cooling for a few minutes in the insert before transferring it to a wire rack to cool.
  •  Cook the rest of the dough balls in batches.

Beef and broccoli

The quickest way to eat dinner is to order takeaway, but that may not be the case if you have an air fryer and a delicious recipe. The preparation time for this beef and broccoli air fryer recipe is about 30 minutes. This traditional Chinese-American cuisine has soft beef strips and broccoli florets that are cooked just right, with a savory-sweet sauce.

Things you need

For the sauce

  • 3 tbsp. of low-sodium soy sauce and half a cup of low-sodium chicken broth
  • Two tablespoons of packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Dry sherry or Shaoxing wine and 1 tbsp. corn flour
  • Toasted sesame oil, 1 teaspoon
  • black pepper freshly ground

Broccoli and beef

  • One lb. of flank or skirt beef cut into 1/8″ slices against the grain, then into 1″ to 2″ pieces.
  • Two chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon of low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons corn flour
  • Two teaspoons of fresh ginger, diced and peeled.
  • Shaoxing wine or dry sherry, two teaspoons
  • Small broccoli florets, about 12 oz., from around 2 heads
  • Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons
  • Steamed or sticky rice, toasting sesame seeds, and thinly cut scallions

Directions

Sauce

  • Whisk the broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornflour, and wine in a medium heatproof bowl.
  • Stirring once halfway through, cook on high for about 2 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
  • Add the sesame oil and season with some freshly ground black pepper.

Broccoli and beef

  • Combine the beef with garlic, soy sauce, ginger, corn flour, and wine in another bowl. Wait for five minutes. Combine the oil and broccoli after adding them.
  • Place half of the beef and broccoli mixture in an air fryer basket in a single layer. Beef should be cooked for 8 to 10 minutes at 400° until just done, and the broccoli should be soft and brown in parts. Scrape the mixture of cooked beef and broccoli into the sauce-filled bowl.
  • Repeat with the rest of the beef and broccoli, and then toss to combine.
  • Top with sesame seeds and scallions. Serve with rice
