As we all know, spring can only arrive once the Macy’s Flower Show opens downtown. It’s time to smell the roses at the beautiful flower festival in Newyork.
While it’s getting a little warmer outside, we’re not quite ready to head to the city’s rooftop bars or sunbathe in New York’s parks just yet, but we know that the flower show marks the arrival of long-awaited warm weather and gorgeous flowers. Macy’s Annual Flower Show will reopen on Sunday, March 26.
The Macy’s Flower Show: A Guide
For the 48th annual Macy’s Flower Show, Macy’s has partnered with Dior Beauty as its first beauty sponsor. From March 26 to April 10, tens of thousands of plants, flowers, and trees will be displayed on the main floor, balcony, and windows of Macy’s Herald Square flagship store in New York City. The prestigious Macy’s Flower Show is set to return with exquisite designs.
What exactly is the Macy’s Flower Show?
The 48th annual event, held at Macy’s flagship Herald Square location, is a multi-sensory flower arrangement experience that spans the main floor, balcony level, and window displays.
The colorful, floral-filled showcase is typically on display for two weeks and includes event programming such as flower demonstrations, tours, fashion shows, workshops, and more.
What is the Macy’s Flower Show’s theme?
This floral-filled exhibition draws both locals and visitors from around the world, with jaw-dropping arrangements decorated to fit a specific theme on display for two weeks.
In collaboration with Dior, the 2023 installment will feature a “dreamscape of fluffy clouds and whimsical floral landscapes” at the mega chain’s Herald Square location.
The first floor of Macy’s will be transformed into a “dream-like city in the sky,” with thousands of plants, flowers, and trees and “playful, whimsical” displays with gravity-defying elements. On the balcony level, Dior will have an exhibition focused on its scent line that will take visitors through the brand’s Southern France flower fields while presenting content possibilities and personalization stations such as bottle engraving, hand-painted fragrance bottles, and MyABCDior charms.
Throughout the two weeks, guests will also have the chance to participate in various unique events, including master classes with Dior scent specialists.
What else is there to see at Macy’s Flower Show?
Dior will create an installation on the store’s balcony level that will take visitors through a floral “field” to demonstrate how the brand makes its fragrances. The Broadway window display will also resemble a fanciful garden and showcase the creations of Fashion Institute of Technology students.
The event will run throughout regular business hours. The best part? It’s free of cost.
The next time you’re shopping at Macy’s, stop by the flower exhibit and take a moment to smell the roses because admission is entirely free.
