Prada is always one of the most anticipated shows of the season. The Italian brand’s Fall/Winter 2024 runway took place in Milan, this Sunday (14). Titled “Human Nature,” the new Prada 2024 menswear collection was presented on a set designed by AMO, which combined an office interior with a natural landscape.
“Demonstrating the paradoxical dichotomy between these two coexisting worlds, this show explores fundamental truths of humanity, our natural instincts, and our emotional needs,” Prada stated to the press.
Prada’s Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection features basic clothing in various colors. From suits to cardigans and shirts, models crossed the runway wearing colorful beanies similar to swimming caps.
“This collection is about something basic – the emotional instinct to remain attached to what we know, the cycles of nature. It’s a world with seasons, with weather, not an artificial reality. These clothes reflect the idea of the environment and of the seasons – wherever you may live. There is a sense of the outdoors, of the actuality of nature, and a direct expression of the desire to go outside, to experience the world,” says Prada.
Of course, neutral tones are present – this is Prada, after all. But with a twist: items in purple, green, red, yellow, pink, and orange also compose the outfits. Duocolor shirts, sandals, and belts add fun to the collection.
“The seasonal rhythms of nature, the natural order, determine gestures within garments. These clothes, in turn, reflect and react to their surroundings, to these disparate and distinct environments, both interior and exterior,” says Prada.
