Paris Fashion Week is the final event on the fashion calendar. This highly anticipated event features runways and presentations throughout the French capital, showcasing what we can expect to see on the streets and in stores for the upcoming spring-summer season.
Running until October 1st, Paris Fashion Week brings together some of the most renowned brands in the world.
Check out Tuesday’s highlights!
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior Spring-Summer 2025 ready-to-wear collection is inspired by the significance of the garment itself. Her goal is to return fashion to its roots, emphasizing the connection between body and garment, intention and function.
She revisited archival cuts, particularly the Amazone dress from Christian Dior’s Fall-Winter 1951-1952 collection, celebrating the strength and autonomy of the legendary female figure it was inspired by.
This collection highlights the contrast between black and white through graphic designs, with checks and lines extending the Miss Dior logo. White shirts are paired with black skirts, pants, and dresses, while red bomber jackets add a bold touch.
Embroidery appears in the form of butterflies and fringes, with shimmering metallic details accentuating the designs. Jersey fabrics feature in evening dresses and sport-inspired shirts.
The Olympic and Paralympic spirit of Paris 2024 also serves as a reference for the collection, promoting gender equality and physical empowerment. Artist SAGG Napoli performed archery on the runway, embodying modern femininity and strength.
Large shoulders and tailored silhouettes — that’s how Anthony Vaccarello opened Saint Laurent’s Spring-Summer 2025 ready-to-wear runway show tonight in Paris. Additionally, Bella Hadid made her highly anticipated return to the runway after a two-year hiatus.
Saint Laurent’s runway showcased sharp tailoring with double-breasted jackets and wide-leg pants. Vaccarello’s inspiration came from an interview where Yves Saint Laurent described his ideal woman as a reflection of himself.
The looks were elevated with accessories such as wide ties, eyewear reminiscent of the ones Yves Saint Laurent himself wore, jeweled shoes, and gleaming gold bracelets. The collection then transitioned into evening wear, featuring vibrant embellished fabrics and lace pieces in bold colors like fuchsia, blue, and yellow, paired with structured blazers and delicate blouses.
