Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director Aims to Make Cowboy Style Cool Again
On Tuesday (16), Louis Vuitton presented its third men’s collection designed by Pharrell Williams. Drawing inspiration from American Western iconography, the maison’s Fall/Winter 2024 menswear aims to reinvent cowboy style and make it cool once again.
Craftsmanship and embroidery techniques were prominent in this collection, highlighted by beads and ornaments. Jeans, leather, blanket coats, and puffer jackets made their way down the runway, complemented by cowboy hats and the latest Speedy models on the arms. The look was completed with Timberland boots, a result of a collaboration with Louis Vuitton.

Emphasizing the American Western motif, the maison’s Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collaborated with artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations to incorporate their expertise into the accessories, as well as the overall staging and soundtrack of the show, led by Dee Jay Two Bears from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The collaboration also included the creation of a Speedy bag embellished with Dakota Flower symbolism through embroidery.
