Rita Ora is the newest celebrity to enter in the beauty market game. She announced her haircare brand earlier this week on Instagram. Partnering with Australian beauty entrepreneur Anna Lahey, the singer is launching Typebea — pronounced “Type B” —  on April 18th.

A serum, glossing treatment, shampoo and conditioner specifically designed to repair and promote growth in damaged hair are the first products of the haircare line.

The relationship we have with our hair is so personal. For me it’s a huge part of my identity, creativity and confidence. Throughout my career I’ve had nearly every hair colour and style. My hair has been bleached, I’ve had extensions, I’ve cut it short. But now I can say my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. I can’t wait to share this with you!”, said Rita on her Instagram post.

For three years, Ora and Lahey worked hard to create a special haircare line for damaged hair. Central to their formula is a trademark peptide-based complex known as Baicapil, which Lahey believes is the key to promoting hair growth.

They spent considerable time researching and developing their products, ensuring that Baicapil is included in each of them. This way, they guarantee that their products can effectively repair and revitalize damaged hair.

The haircare line is priced between $26 and $52. Formulated without parabens and silicones, which have fallen out of favor with consumers, the products boast skincare-inspired ingredients like ceramides and salicylic acid.It will initially be sold in Sephora stores in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as in retailers like Selfridges and David Jones.

You can also purchase it online in each of these countries and in the US. New products will be released in September, with more to follow in early 2025. Plans are also in place to expand into more stores.
