With the iconic phrase “About Time!” woven into the collection, Stella McCartney’s SS25 show merges fashion with activism, emphasizing sustainability and animal welfare.

Stella McCartney’s SS25 collection is all about making a statement, and the theme couldn’t be more clear: “About Time!” Guests at the show were greeted with caps bearing this bold phrase, a nod to McCartney’s famous 1999 t-shirt worn when her father, Paul McCartney, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some attendees even donned the same t-shirt at the show, making the message even more impactful.

While this slogan can take on many meanings in the context of sustainability, McCartney’s inspiration behind the collection offers a deeper understanding. Backstage, she shared her growing concern over the death of birds, a reflection of her ongoing advocacy for animal rights.

This concern is woven throughout her SS25 collection, crafted without harming animals and composed of 91% recyclable materials. The iconic t-shirt, now a manifesto, demonstrates how fashion can be used as a powerful platform for noble causes.

In addition to the statement pieces, several key items from the collection stand out, promising to be must-haves this summer. Among them is the Ryder bag, a fully vegan accessory that played a prominent role in the runway looks.

The collection itself is a celebration of sensuality, featuring necklines, fabrics, and cuts that highlight the female form. Structured blazers with masculine touches and wide-legged trousers also took center stage, adding balance to the softer silhouettes.

Micro tops, transparency, and sparkle were recurring themes throughout, and in the show’s final looks, sportier outfits with an elegant flair embodied the ongoing athleisure trend.

McCartney’s SS25 show is not just a fashion statement; it’s a call to action, using the runway to advocate for a more compassionate, sustainable future.
